John Taylor of Horizon Property ManagementAn early starter in the construction business world, I assisted a neighbor with a large remodeling project at the age of 11. As a freshman in high school, I landed my first real carpentry job. Those first tastes of the construction business – along with an eagerness to learn everything about home building, a goal-achievement mentality, and a meticulous organization – laid the foundation for an accelerated career path in construction project management.

Starting from the bottom of the construction industry and working my way up has resulted in a deep and rich knowledge and a level of expertise in achieving the goals and objectives of premier residential homebuilders. Accountable for managing large residential communities in multiple states, I made the tough decisions that drove revenue growth and profitability, minimized costs and corporate risk, boosted productivity, and met delivery dates.

Today, as a senior operations manager, I offer over twenty years of experience in project management, financial accountability, client relations, staff development, sales and marketing, strategy development, property acquisition, land development, and contract negotiation. Consistent in meeting company objectives, my expertise lies in assembling and leading teams of committed professionals, meeting homeowners’ expectations and specifications for developing profitable neighborhoods.
